Difference & Selection of Straight, Elbow, 90° Elbow M8 Series Connectors

Core Distinction Criterion

  • Outlet Direction + Space Adaptation : The core difference between straight and elbow M8 connectors lies in the cable outlet direction, which is customized for different installation space sizes and on-site wiring requirements, and the elbow type can effectively avoid cable bending damage in narrow spaces.

Model Difference & Scenario Adaptation

Straight M8 Connector

The cable outlet direction is consistent with the connector axis , with a simple and straight structure and easy installation. Suitable for scenarios with sufficient installation space and direct cable routing, such as fixed wiring inside industrial equipment and vertical wiring of fixed sensing nodes.

90° Elbow M8 Connector

The cable outlet direction is perpendicular to the connector axis , including up/down/left/right bending types for optional selection. Suitable for narrow installation spaces such as equipment side walls and sensor bottoms, and scenarios requiring cable wiring close to the plane, which can avoid cable bending damage and improve the overall protection performance.

OCTOPUSCONN M8 Elbow Core Performance Advantage

Adopt integrated injection molding process , no stress concentration at the bending part, resistant to repeated bending ≥ 1000 times , specially adapted to the industrial site environment with frequent vibration and repeated cable bending.

Technical Note: The selection of M8 straight/elbow connectors is mainly based on the actual installation space and wiring path; for the elbow type, it is recommended to select the bending direction according to the on-site cable layout to minimize the bending stress of the cable; the integrated injection molding elbow has better structural stability and is the first choice for vibration-prone industrial scenarios.
