Quick Identification Method for M12 Connector Coding Types
Two Simple & Efficient Identification Ways

Check the Shell Marking
: Regular qualified M12 connectors are clearly marked with coding letters such as "A", "D", "X" on the metal or plastic shell, which is the most direct identification method.

Check the Lock Buckle Position
: Turn the connector with the pins facing you, the A-coded connector has the lock buckle directly on the top; D-coded is at 45° angle, different coding types correspond to different lock buckle angles.
Technical Note: The lock buckle position is the physical anti-mismatch design of M12 connector, different coding corresponds to fixed angle position, which can quickly distinguish the coding type when there is no obvious marking.
