Test Condition & Life Index : Under the condition of cable bending angle ±90° and bending frequency 10 times/minute, the bending resistance life of conventional M9 connectors is ≥500 times, which is the industry basic standard.

3 Practical Measures to Improve Durability

① Select 90° Angled Version

Choose angled (90°) M9 connectors to reduce bending stress on the cable at the connection end, avoid excessive bending angle and extend service life.

② Fix Cable at Connector Tail

Use cable clips to fix the cable at the connector tail after wiring, avoid bending stress directly acting on solder joints/crimp points and causing damage.

③ Use High-flexibility Cable

Replace ordinary PVC cables with PU/TPU high-flexibility cables, which have better bending resistance and can significantly improve the overall durability of the connection.

Technical Note: The bending resistance life is tested under standard conditions; in actual use, the service life will be affected by bending angle, frequency and cable material. The combination of the three measures can increase the bending resistance life by 2~3 times.
